Rural DC Co
Rural DC Co takes data centre sites in regional areas to shovel ready, where the wind and solar resource is strong enough to power them directly.
Compute demand is growing faster than the grid can be built to serve it. The constraint is firmed generation and a connection, not land or capital, and both are easier to get in rural areas.
We carry a site from resource assessment through land tenure, generation, storage, grid connection, fibre and planning approval, then hand over a consented, powered, build ready site. We do not build or operate the data centre.
Every site is designed to supply its own water, from roof harvest and tanks, with no draw on rivers, dams or groundwater.
We also advise battery developers on selling storage capacity to large buyers contracting for firmed supply.
These sites sit in small communities, and every site we take forward carries a committed share of its value back into the district it is built in.
Rural DC Co is a team of energy experts, each with over 10 years of utility scale and land development experience. We originate each site ourselves, secure the land on terms that work for the landholder, and do the grid, generation and approvals work in house. We then bring in long term capital partners to fund and own the project.
